Central Park and Boardwalk cabins offer cruisers the laid-back vacation feeling of having a balcony without the higher costs of an oceanview room. Opting for a Central Park or Boardwalk cabin is a simple way to lower the overall cost of your cruise while still enjoying the feeling of stepping out onto a balcony.
Central Park and Boardwalk-view cabins offer the same features as standard oceanview and balcony cabins. These include twin beds that convert to a queen, a desk, a sitting area (some with a sofa bed), TV and minibar and, of course, either a picture window or a balcony cabin with two chairs and a small table.
For balcony versions of the two cabins, rooms measure approximately 180 square feet, with the balcony coming in at around 50 square feet.
Wondering if you should pick a stateroom that’s forward or aft? We’ve got you covered.
Planning to spend your sea days by the pool? Or maybe you’re most excited about a particular specialty restaurant. Depending on where you plan to spend most of your time, you may have a preference of which venue or part of the ship you prefer to call home. Deck plans vary by ship and can be a helpful tool for picking your stateroom.
If you’re motion sensitive, you’ll want to choose a stateroom that’s lower to the water line and closer to the center of the ship. Layout and location varies by ship, so be sure to check your specific sailing and itinerary.
At times we may offer you the option of making a ‘Guarantee’ (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Interior, Oceanview, Balcony or Suite) on your chosen ship and cruise.
However, the exact stateroom, number, and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated by the cruise line (at their discretion) and at any time up until checking in at the port.
Guests booked in GTY cabins may not be berthed with other traveling parties due to availability. Staterooms allocated may be subject to obstructed views.
Please note that on Oasis & Icon Class ships, you may be assigned a Neighborhood View Balcony stateroom (Central Park, Boardwalk or Surfside). These staterooms are assigned based on availability.
Such promotional GTY categories are defined as follows:
WS Suite/Deluxe
XB Balcony Stateroom
XN Neighborhood View Balcony Stateroom (Oasis & Icon Class Only)
YO Ocean View Stateroom
ZI Interior Stateroom
For back-to-back cruises, please note: If you book 2 or more cruises to be taken consecutively and either one or all cruises are booked under a GTY basis, you may be allocated different staterooms on each cruise, therefore necessitating the need to move between staterooms on the changeover day between your consecutive cruises.
